The heavily populated Loughton town in Britain has elected an Indian-origin councilor Philip Abraham ca a lui Primar. He had been officiating as the Deputy Mayor of the town for last 12 months and will be succeeding Carol Davis the outgoing Mayor, quotes Indian Express.
Situated in Essex’s Epping Forest borough, Loughton is its most populous town. At all the civic occasions and the events conducted by the communities, charitable organizations, clubs and schools in the town, Mayor is the representative of the town.
Philip Abraham said that he feels extremely thrilled to be voted as the Mayor of the town. It is an honor to receive the chance of serving the community as the Mayor, added Philip Abraham.
Abraham was first voted to the council in 2012 and represents the Alderton ward. He was re-voted in 2016 and the Loughton Residents Association, a civic local organization supports Abraham.
Born in Kerala, the councilor is closely associated with the other Indian communities Residing in the UK. Abraham is the founder of UK-Kerala Commerce Association and British South India Council of Business is co-founded by him.
