$19 million plan to speed up Immigrant Visas for R Australia

A $19 million plan will speed up Immigrant Visas for Australia regională. Skilled immigrants can now accelerate their Visa application process if they move to regional Australia.

The announcement for the initiative was made by David Coleman the Immigration Minister of Australia. This was after the meeting of State and Territory Treasurers to discuss congestion issues and population growth.

The $19 million funds will be utilized over 4 years. The officials of the Departamentul Afaceri Interne will travel to regional Australia. This is to assist local businesses in hiring more skilled workers.

The plan will offer priority processing to Immigrant Visas sponsored by employers in Regional Australia. Agreements will also be made where local councils are in a position to hire overseas workers, as quoted by the SBS.

David Coleman said that the DHA officers will be on the field for discussing regional immigration opportunities. This is with communities and regional employers he added. They will also obtain the firsthand knowledge of local labour issues faced by them, said the Minister.

Scott Morrison the Australian Prime Minister has already said that immigrants can be asked to stay for 5 years in the regions. This is if they want to obtain the Australia PR Visa, he added.

Josh Frydenberg the Treasurer had a meeting with Treasurers in Canberra. This was for discussing the manner in which the responsibility of population change can be shared across the nation. It specifically focussed on easing infrastructure congestion.

Frydenberg said that 2/3rds of the freshly arrived immigrants are moving to the Capital cities. These specifically include Southeast Queensland, Melbourne, and Sydney he added. It is resulting in infrastructure pressures. We have to send people at the destinations that have jobs, said the Treasurer. This needs cooperation across Territories and States, he added.
