Alberta invites 132 EE candidates in latest draw

Într-o draw held on December 5, Alberta issued 132 invitations to apply for being provincially nominated for Canadian permanent residency. Invitations sent by Alberta are also known as Notifications of Interest (NOIs).

These 132 NOIs went to those Express Entry candidates that had a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 400 și mai sus.

The Alberta Express Entry System allows the province of Alberta to select eligible candidates from the federal Express Entry pool under the Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP).

Which programs come under Canada’s federal Express Entry system?

Express Entry manages the candidate pool for 3 of Canada’s main economic-class immigration programs –

• Program federal pentru muncitori calificați (FSWP)
• Program federal de meserii calificate (FSTP)
• Clasa de experiență canadiană (CEC)

Those Express Entry candidates that are provincially nominated by provinces like Alberta get 600 additional points towards their CRS scores.

With these additional points, it is almost a guarantee that the candidate will be sent an invitation in the next draw to be held from the Express Entry pool.

Which candidates are given priority by Alberta?

As such, neither previous work experience nor job offer in Alberta is mandatory to be eligible for being invited under AINP.

Nevertheless, AINP gives priority to candidates that have –

• Job offer and/or work experience in Alberta;
• Degree from a Canadian post-secondary educational institution as well as a valid job offer; or
• Parent/sibling/child already living in Alberta.

How many has Alberta invited in 2019?

With the latest December 5 draw, a total of 6,752 Express Entry candidates have been sent invitations to apply for being provincially nominated for Canada PR through the Alberta Express Entry Stream.

6,000 was the limit set by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) on the number of invitations that could be issued by the AINP in the 2019 calendar year.

While all the allotted certificates have been issued by the AINP, about 1,750 are awaiting their assessment pentru eligibilitate.

Assessment of the applications will continue. However, no further certificates are to be issued till January 2020.

Why is my submission taking so long to process?

Owing to the high volume of submissions, the processing of submissions for certain occupations might take comparatively much longer. These include –
