Fake papers filed for 457 Visas in multi-million $ tax fraud

Fake papers were filed for Australia 457 Visas in a multi-million $ tax fraud scheme. An Immigration Agent and an Attorney lodged fake documents. This is to assist a colleague in obtaining Australia PR.

The revelation has been made during a Federal Court hearing. It was examining allegations into a tax fraud scheme operated by Philip Whiteman in Melbourne.

Nixon said that Whiteman had formed a partnership with the director of a firm called Career of the Day Pauline Borch. This was for bringing overseas workers to Australia through 457 Visas. It was for working at firms under the control of Whiteman. My job was to prepare the documentation added Nixon.

Ms. Borch had already offered evidence of a partnership between her and Whiteman. It also included Michael Dock an employee of Whiteman. Accordingly, the commission received by placing individuals in an internship program was to be shared among the three. She refuted that the agreement pertained to 457 Visas.

Nixon was asked by a barrister for Pitcher Partners Ben Gibson whether he was aware of the mode of operation. Under this, overseas workers on 457 visas were paid on a rotational basis by Whiteman.

Gibson elaborated that this implied continued under the table payment to Whiteman. The money was then channelized through other entities. It was then returned to the visa holder to make it appear as though they received the salary.
