India and Bahrain implement the agreement for Visa exemption

The Kingdom of Bahrain and India have now implemented the agreement or Visa Exemption. This is for Entry Visa for Special/Official and Diplomatic passport holders. It is as a part of their persistent and constant endeavours to strengthen relations with all nations in the world.

 

Foreign Affairs Ministry of Bahrain affirmed that the Visa exemption reflects the common desire of both the nations. It also expresses their keenness for investing in diverse opportunities. This is for enhancing bilateral ties at all levels in the interest of both the nations, it added.

 

The agreement for Visa exemption was signed in July 2018. It has become effective from January this year. Bahraini private, as well as diplomatic passport holders now, can avail Visa-free travel to India, as quoted by the BNA BH.

 

The privilege is a new common exemption from Entry Visa. This is for Special/Official and Diplomatic passport holders signed by Republic of India and Bahrain. It offers them a stay of 90 days from the date of arrival as per the Foreign Affairs Ministry of Bahrain.

 

All overseas individuals who intend to arrive at Bahrain require a Visa. The exception is the nationals of Gulf Cooperation Council - United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Oman, and Kuwait.

 

The official statement also clarifies regarding the classification of Visas for the Kingdom of Bahrain. This is according to several features: place of issue, single or multiple entries, E-Visa or Standard Visa and sponsorship requirements.

 

The Visit E-Visa can be used for multiple entries. The approval for E-Visa normally takes around 3 to 5 working days. The Kingdom of Bahrain offers Visas-on arrival facility to 66 nations.
