Student indian din SUA oferă o soluție pentru găsirea unui loc de parcare cu Big Data

An Indian student in the US has offered a solution to finding a parking spot with the help of Big Data. Sai Nikhil Reddy Mettupally has created an algorithm that detects space to help in tackling the problem of identifying a parking spot. This is by using Analize Big Data și saves an individual’s money and time.

Nikhil is a student at the Alabama University in Huntsville. He has also won the 2nd prize at the Science and Technology Open House competition for 2018. This is for his creation of the algorithm, as quoted by the Hindu.

Alabama University has issued a press release in this regard. It says that Nikhil’s creation uses deep learning methods and Big Data analytics. This directly leads the drivers to a vacant parking spot.

Big Data analytics is a complex process. It involves assessing diverse and large sets of data to discover information. This is inclusive of customer preferences, market trends, unknown correlations, and hidden patterns.

Sai Nikhil conceived the idea in last fall. This was shortly after the University transitioned to zone parking. He needed to discover a method to locate vacant spaces. It had to then lead the driver to the location.

The Alabama University student did not want to develop anything similar to parking apps already in the market. He wanted to develop an app that did not depend on buying, installing and maintaining costly in-ground sensors.

In order to give concrete shape to his idea, Sai took assistance from Vineetha Menon. Ms. Menon is the Director of Big Data Analytics Lab of UAH and a Computer Science Assistant Professor in the US.

Ms. Menon had access to the high-performance computing power. This was needed by Nikhil to generate and train his machine-learning model. This relies on the string data for parking lot offered by the Brazil’s Federal University of Parana.
