The Department of State in the US has said that the 5-year Tourist Visas for Cubans have been ended. This is a huge blow to the members of divided families in Cuba and the Entrepreneurs. The former would utilize these US Visas to visit relatives. The latter would buy valuable supplies for their businesses in Cuba.

The ending of Tourist Visas cuts a crucial link between Cuba and the US. It forces the Cubans to make a complicated and costly trip to a 3rd nation such as Panama or Mexico. The US has also ceased to offer nearly any kind of Visa in Cuba.
