Visa on Arrival (VoA) For Norwegians : President Pranab Mukherjee

(PTI/ Image Source: NDTV)[/caption] Indian President Pranab Mukherjee on Tuesday announced that the Norway nationals can soon avail Visa on Arrival (VoA) option to India. As of now, there are 12 countries that enjoy VoA facility to India - Cambodia, Finland, Japan, Laos, Luxembourg, Myanmar, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, Vietnam, Indonesia, and the recently added United States. In 2010, the Indian government extended the VoA service to 5 countries, later added another 6 to the list. And on the recent US visit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced VoA facility for US nationals. Now, Norway will also be a part of Visa on Arrival list. President Pranab Mukherjee who is on a Norway visit addressing a seminar said, ""I am pleased to inform you that Norway will feature in the list of few countries to be soon granted the facility of Tourist Visa on Arrival which will greatly facilitate travel for Norwegian citizens to India." Mr. Mukherjee also addressed the importance of Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs) signed between the two nations for better bilateral relations and for diplomatic visa waivers for both the countries.
