Australian salaries increased across top sectors in August 2018 and the national increase was average of 4%. Two territories recorded an increase in salaries above the national average and highest growth as well. Australian Capital Territory - ACT witnessed an increase of salaries at 7.6%. On the other hand, Teritoriul nordic witnessed an increase of 6% in salaries.

ACT also recorded the highest average for yearly salary with 90, 079 $, as quoted by the Insight Resources SEEK. The majority of the industries are witnessing an increase in average salaries that are advertised.

The strongest yearly growth was recorded once again by Mining, Resources, and Energy. The increase in salaries recorded for this sector was 10%. The next top sectors for the growth of salaries were Trades & Services and Science & Technology. Both of these recorded the average growth of salaries at 7%.

The sectors that remained stable are Sport & Recreation, Consulting & Strategy, CEO & General Management, and Self Employment. There was neither growth nor decrease in their average salaries as compared with August 2017.
