Irlanda reduce restricțiile pentru lucrătorii din afara SEE din două industrii

Ireland has eased curbs on non-EEA workers in Sports and Construction industries through changes to the Employment Permit policies. The announcement was made by the Department of Business, Enterprise, and Innovation.

 

A non-EEA citizen must have a valid Employment Permit in order to work in Ireland unless exempted. The most common Work Visas are:

•    Critical Skills Employment Permit

•    General Employment Permit

All occupations are qualified for the General Employment Permit. This is unless they are excluded through the list of Ineligible Categories of Employment pentru Vize de muncă pentru Irlanda.

The minimum yearly remuneration is either 30,000 sau 60,000 de euro based on the occupation in respect of which the Permit has been applied for. The prospective worker must also have obtained a job offer for a minimum period of 24 months.

 

changes announced have become effective from 22 April 2019. These are aimed at easing the shortage of labour in both the industries. The measures are also inclusive of creating up to 300 Work Visas for workers in Customs Control as preparations for Brexit.

•    Adding specific occupations to List of Occupations for Critical Skills implying that they can qualify for a Critical Skills Employment Permit

•    Removing specific occupations from List of Ineligible Occupations implying that they can qualify for the General Employment Permit

•    Removing specific occupations from List of Ineligible Occupations by Quota implying they can qualify for the General Employment Permit subject to the application of the Quota
